Terms of Service

SafePersonalAI is local software, not a hosted service. It connects to accounts and data sources you authorize (Gmail, Apple Mail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, iCloud Drive, local folders, and iMessage on your own Mac) and to an AI provider you choose and pay for directly. An optional, explicit one-to-three-month historical-mail scan recognizes recurring financial senders; it does not silently import historical transactions. It proposes actions — calendar events, tasks, tracked payments — for your approval, and adds information from your own bank alerts directly, where you can undo it.

• You're responsible for reviewing what SafePersonalAI proposes before approving it — it drafts and suggests, you decide.
• You're responsible for your own AI provider account, its costs, and its usage terms. SafePersonalAI is not a party to your agreement with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or any other provider.
• You're responsible for keeping your Mac, your Google account, and any API keys you configure reasonably secure.

The Base module (Operational: inbox, calendar, iMessage, to-dos, and the Pending Actions queue) is the foundation product. Modules are sold as one-time purchases, not recurring subscriptions. During the beta the download is free and every module is open for 90 days. The planned one-time prices are Base €19, Travel €15 and Wealth €15, or all three together (Base + Travel + Wealth) for €39. Buying is not open yet. Future modules may have their own one-time prices. The final price, taxes, refund terms, and availability shown at checkout control that purchase.

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as our Merchant of Record — Lemon Squeezy is the seller of the transaction itself, responsible for payment processing, tax collection and remittance, and refund handling under its own terms, which you accept separately at checkout. We do not store your full payment-card details. These terms govern your use of the SafePersonalAI software; they do not cover, and do not limit, Lemon Squeezy's own terms for the purchase transaction.

New installs include a 90-day trial that unlocks every module. After the trial, continued use requires the applicable one-time license. A purchased module is licensed to you for use on your own Mac(s), up to the activation limit shown at checkout. It is not permission to redistribute the application or share a license key. You agree not to circumvent, disable, or bypass license or trial checks. A license activates against a specific Mac; moving to another Mac may require deactivation and reactivation under the purchase's activation limit.

If a trial ends or a module becomes unentitled, its existing local data is preserved and is not deleted. Access can be restored by activating the applicable license.

SafePersonalAI is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. It relies on AI models and automated pattern-matching to read, summarize, translate, classify, and respond to your messages, email, and documents. By its nature, this kind of software:

• Can misread, misunderstand, mistranslate, or misclassify content — including official letters, contracts, invoices, and appointment confirmations.
• Can fail to notice, flag, or act on something important — including a deadline, a cancellation window, an urgent notice, a scheduled payment, or a document requirement — even when that information was present in the underlying message.
• Can produce a summary, explanation, or translation that is inaccurate, incomplete, or missing key details, even when it reads as confident and complete.
• Can fail silently — a check that does not run, a message that is never read, a reminder that is never sent — with no notification that anything was missed.
• Uses keyword- and pattern-based detection (for example, deciding whether mail looks "urgent" or renewal-related) that is a best-effort heuristic, not a guarantee. The absence of a flag, alert, or reminder is never confirmation that nothing needs your attention.
• Depends in part on a third-party AI provider you chose and connected yourself; that provider's own errors, outages, or changes in behavior are outside our control.

SafePersonalAI is not a substitute for legal, tax, financial, medical, or immigration advice, and nothing it outputs should be treated as such. For anything with a real deadline or real consequence — a payment, a contract cancellation, a tax filing, an official appointment, a legal notice — you are responsible for independently verifying the original document or message yourself before relying on the software's summary of it. This is why proposed calendar entries, bills, bookings and imports wait for your approval, and why the software shows you what it found and lets you undo what it added directly.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafePersonalAI and its maker are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost money, missed deadlines, late fees, penalties, unwanted contract renewals, tax consequences, lost data, or lost opportunities — arising from or related to: your use of the software; any action you approved, rejected, or ignored; any mistake, omission, delay, or failure of the software or of any AI provider it connects to; or your reliance on any summary, translation, explanation, or notice (or lack of one) that the software produced. This applies whether the underlying cause was a defect in the software, a limitation of the AI or detection method used, or a third-party provider's own error or outage. You remain solely responsible for reviewing what the software shows you and for verifying anything that matters before acting on it. Nothing here limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to purchase or use SafePersonalAI.

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not deprive you of any protection you are entitled to under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your own country of residence.

We may update these terms as the product changes — a new module, a new provider integration, a new pricing mechanism. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date on this page.
